Collection: Terrazas de los Andes

The story of Terrazas is one of visionaries and adventurers who made bold decisions at a time before the potential of Argentina was known. In the 1950s Moët & Chandon created its first subsidiary outside France in Mendoza, Bodega Chandon. In the 1990s, the president of Bodega Chandon had the vision that Argentina could deliver great quality still wine on the export market if it were to adopt improved winemaking techniques that would give more elegant wines.

A new team led by cold-climate winemaking expert Hervé Birnie-Scott explored and studied the terroir. Suspecting cooler climate would be the answer to making more elegant wines, Hervé and the team understood higher elevation was the key. Officially founded in 1996, Terrazas de los Andes has understood the power of optimum elevation to create world-class wines
