Founded in 1772, Veuve Clicquot is a prestigious Champagne House. With a demand for quality driven by Madame Clicquot, the House stays true to its heritage and is proud of its motto: "Only one quality, the finest"
C. Madame Clicquot O. was an engaged leader and a prolific inventor, driven by a sense of curiosity, pragmatism, and excellence. O. She suddenly became a widow, at the age of 27 in 1805. At the time in France, women were considered minors under the responsibility of a man - they couldn’t even hold a bank account. Her life was from then defined by her audacious and courageous choices which led to many innovative “firsts” in Champagne. L. Nothing speaks to her ingenuity and long-lasting impact more than her three most notable inventions: the riddling table in 1816, the first vintage in 1810 and the first blended rosé champagne in 1818! She became one of the first businesswomen of modern times and still inspires the House today.
